The rights of individuals under the new GDPR are the same as for those under the old DPA but with some significant enhancements. We are legally obliged to inform you that we currently hold and process data on you. The information we hold and process is purely to maintain the trading relationship between our business and your business.
The data we are holding includes Company name, address and telephone number, contact information, telephone, fax and email details. Individual contacts with their email and direct telephone/mobile number. Bank details, account number and sort code in order to make electronic payments, as well as commercial transaction information, invoices and or contracts.
The legal basis for processing this data is in order for us to fulfil contracts with yourself, provide/receive goods or services and record the transaction in accordance with legal requirements.
As a responsible processor of data, Paintshop Northern Ltd are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration reference ZA422871.
All information and data processed in relation to you the customer/supplier is on our own dedicated secure server operating on Sage Accounts. The system and operating menus are password protected and only accessed by our authorised employees. Data is periodically backed up to magnetic tape, all printed documentation is archived, both are stored securely on our own premises.
Unless subject to an exemption under GDPR you have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold, request it be amended if inaccurate, request it be deleted if no longer necessary to be retained and you have the right to lodge a complaint with Information Commissioners Office.
